Vintage Chevy truck with handcrafted barnwood American flag in the bed, rural Tennessee

Middle Tennessee

Handcrafted
Barnwood
American Flags.

I make these by hand from old Tennessee barnwood. Every star is hand-cut, no stencils. No two are the same. Started with one for my own mantle and it just kind of grew from there.

The Wood

It All Comes
from the Barn.

All my wood is locally sourced barnwood from right here in middle Tennessee. Most of these barns stood for a hundred years before they came down. The red you see in the stripes? That's not paint. That's the natural color of the barn after a century of sun and rain. You really can't fake it. I've tried explaining it to people but honestly you just have to pick up a board and feel it yourself.

Every crack, every nail hole, every bit of grain is real. This wood spent a hundred years doing its job and now it gets to be something new.

No two flags ever come out the same because no two boards are the same. That's just how it goes when you let the wood be what it is.

What I Build

Flags, Tri-Stars,
and Custom Work.

Wall Flags

This is what most folks are looking for. Goes above the mantle, behind the desk, out on the porch. I make three sizes and every single star is hand-cut. Each one is signed on the back.

A lot of these end up as gifts. Retirements, memorials, just because somebody knows the right person for it. I've had folks come back and tell me the person they gave it to got choked up. That's about the best thing I could hear.

Truck Beds & Custom Builds

That's my truck up in the header. I built a flag for the bed floor and people kept asking about it, so now I do those too. I've done bar tops, deck pieces, memorial walls. If you've got an idea I haven't heard yet, I'd love to figure it out.

Tennessee Tri-Stars

Same barnwood, same hand-cut work. The Tennessee state flag for folks who love where they live. These are real popular around here for pretty obvious reasons.

Storefronts & Installations

I've got flags hanging in a doctor's office in Franklin, a bar downtown Nashville, a gun shop in Smyrna, and on the sides of barns all over middle Tennessee. If you need something sized for your space, I can make it happen.

About

Why I Do This.

I'm a Navy veteran. Spent nine years as a Seabee — Construction Battalion. We built whatever the country needed, wherever they sent us. When I got out, I guess my hands didn't really get the memo.

I made a flag for my own house. Just wanted something on the wall that meant something to me. A buddy saw it and asked if I'd make him one. Then a neighbor wanted one. Then a shop owner. I never set out to start a business, I just kept saying yes.

I work out of my shop by myself. I pick the wood, I cut the stars, I sign the back. It's honest work and I'm real proud of what comes out of here. I don't want to be some big operation. I just want to keep building good flags for good people.
