ToughOmbre β€” Ron Huckaby's vintage Chevy truck with a handcrafted barnwood American flag in the bed, rural Tennessee

Handcrafted in Tennessee

Old Wood.
New Glory.
Built to Last.

Every flag is hand-cut, hand-stained, and one of a kind — built from barnwood that's already lived a lifetime. No two boards are the same. No two flags ever will be.

The Wood

Every Board
Has a Story

This isn't lumber from a hardware store. This is wood that held up barn roofs through Tennessee storms. Wood that lined farmstead fences before your grandaddy was born. Wood that's been sun-bleached, rain-soaked, and aged by a hundred seasons.

Every nail hole, every crack, every weathered grain — that's not damage. That's character. That's a century of American history you can reach out and touch.

We don't sand it all away. We don't hide the imperfections. We pick every board by hand, and we let the wood tell you where it's been. Then we give it something new to be proud of.

“We need a little stain, still, but look what we have for you.”

What We Build

Wall Flags. Truck Beds.
Whatever You Dream Up.

If it can be made from barnwood and stars & stripes, we'll figure it out. Here's what folks are asking for.

Wall Flags

The classic. A full American flag hand-cut and hand-stained from reclaimed barnwood. Hang it above the mantle, in the shop, or on the porch. Every flag is built board by board — no shortcuts, no CNC machines, just a man and his tools.

Small enough for an office. Big enough for a lodge wall. We build to the size you need.

Truck Beds & Custom Builds

Yeah, you read that right. That's a barnwood American flag as a truck bed floor. ToughOmbre here — a vintage Chevy with patina green paint and white walls — wears it proud.

If you can dream it, we can build it. Custom dimensions, special stain jobs, corporate logos, memorial pieces. Tell us what you want and we'll make it happen.

Market Installations

Our flags have a way of stopping people in their tracks. Deck railings, storefronts, restaurant walls, event spaces — wherever you put one, folks are gonna notice.

Need something for a business or public space? We'll work with you on size, mounting, and finish to make sure it fits just right.

About Ron

The Man.
The Truck.
The Flags.

Ron Huckaby builds these flags out of his shop in Tennessee. No storefront, no warehouse, no employees. Just a craftsman, his tools, and a pile of barnwood with a century of stories in it.

You might spot him hauling flags to market in ToughOmbre — a vintage '60s Chevy with patina green paint and white walls that's about as American as the flags in the bed. The truck and the flags have the same philosophy: built to last, worn with pride, and more beautiful for the miles.

Every flag is made by hand, one at a time. No rush. No mass production. Just the kind of work that only happens when somebody gives a damn.
